Nice meeting you at the Dallas Quilt Show. I very much enjoyed working on this project and she is so cute hanging in my sewing room! –Carla
Check this out!¬† When Ruth was cutting out her colored fabric pieces, she left the “cut-away” parts connected.¬† She, then, placed the “cut-away” on black fabric.¬† The result is amazing!¬† Wouldn’t you agree?¬† Thanks for sharing, Ruth.
This is the clock picture that I did – it hangs in my children’s playroom that has a Monopoly theme I don’t remember how many years ago it was when we first discovered your patterns – but we took an instant liking to your Christmas angel, the Christmas scroll tree and the Christmas santa with the scroll-looking beard. Mom purchased your patterns and thus, two more AnotherByAnita fans were ‘born’. I have even purchased your patterns for my mom and then gave them to her as a birthday gift and then shamelessly asked her to make a quilt for me. — Camille
Here she is without stars.
Here she is with glitter stars. Hopefully, Houston was good for you. It was my first time. Amazing! — Patty
Just wanted to share my rendition of your “Big Sister” from the Angels Among Us Collection. I made this for our daughter who has done her bedroom in black and white, hence my color choice. I really enjoyed making the quilt. It was a bit challenging at times, but the result was worth the effort! Thank you for a beautiful pattern. I did get to hand deliver the quilt to our daughter (which I love to do, just to see their faces) and she was thrilled. She took it to her work and some of the people there wanted me to make them one. She told them No, she only makes them for family. I just thought I’d let you know, the quilt was a hit and is appreciated. Makes me feel so good! –Mary
I had a lot of fun making “Big Sister” and I am proud of it. Thanks for your pattern . — Kathy
I¬†made the big Sister Angel for my sister. She did not want a wall hanging, she wanted it done for her bed. As you can see from the pictures, I did as she wanted. This is the first People‚Äôs Choice, or any other award I have ever won!!!!! I know my sister is excited to see it on her bed. It is a great pattern! — Linda
A few years ago, a woman was sent my way by God. I had to leave town and wanted to leave [her] something to remember me by. I had the pattern for Big Sister and couldn’t find anything more suitable for such a friend. I made it for her and finished it in a rather unusual way. She loved it and so did I. Today Big Sister is in a place of honor at her house.
This one is a donation quilt to the Abilene Summer Music Festival to be raffled or sold to raise money for scholarships. It was such fun. I’ve had it hanging in my office and am having a difficult time parting with it, but tonight it will be given to Hardin-Simmons University to support the orchestra camp for middle and high school students that occurs in June of each year. My daughter attended for four years and absolutely loved it.
